We’re going to Adelaide (and Coober Pedy)

We are beyond excited to be crossing the Strait and taking our show Nimble to the Adelaide Fringe for the very first time in 2026.

After touring to over twenty towns across our home state of Tasmania and headlining the Canberra Circus Festival last year, we felt it was finally time to take Tasmanian circus Fool’s Paradise.

What exactly is Nimble?

If you haven’t caught a performance yet, ArtsHub once described it as "something special," but we like to think of it as a high-stakes game of Jenga served in a glass case of emotion.

In Nimble, we stack blocks, boxes, and... well, ourselves. It’s a signature blend of the things we love most: high-skill acrobatics, surprising comedy, and those huge, relatable "tantrum drama" moments. One audience member famously called it "a way too dangerous game of 'the floor is lava,'" and honestly? They aren't wrong.

Global Skills, Local Heart

While we are proud to be a Tasmanian "state treasure," Nimble was built with a bit of help from some of the best in the business. Directed by company founder Conor Wild (Cirque du Soleil), we created this show alongside legends like Cecilia Martin (Circa), Jamie Bretman (Trash Test Dummies), and our own Freyja Wild. This season sees chaos-duo Cecilia Martin and Margot Mansfield return, but will also be Gerramy Marsden’s ROOKE debut.

We are also incredibly honoured to be the only Tasmanian company to receive Fringe Foundation support this year. It’s a huge help for us, and we’re really grateful to the team at Adelaide Fringe.

"We feel so privileged to be part of the Fool’s Paradise program, right in the thick of some of the best circus and variety at Fringe."

See You in Adelaide!

If you’re heading to the festival, expect the usual Nimble bedlam: big emotions, careful balancing, and high-stacked falls. We can’t wait to show Adelaide what we’ve been up to.

Catch us at Fool’s Paradise or in Coober Pedy throughout the 2026 season.
